There's always a first for everything

Okay... I was inspired (Thanks Sarah). I officially have a blog. This is exciting! I just spent an hour this morning reading Brittany's blog about her travels in India and Thailand (wishing I was there). I still have chills and I am so so so happy for her. I decided to start a blog since I will be traveling to Peru, Ecuador, and the Galapogos Islands in the spring offseason. This might actually be easier than sending mass emails, crowding my estranged friends' inboxes, and pressuring people to write me back. Getting an email while traveling is similar to receiving a package at summer camp.

But for now, I can keep everyone posted on my not-so "real world" living in God's country, Jackson Hole, Wyoming... the most beautiful place on earth. As for today, I am at work (one of three jobs)... I have been working at Snake River Interiors for about 7 months now as a design assistant learning the ropes of interior design and exploring future "career" options. I also babysit two little 16 month old twins, Myles and Remi. I go straight from by "big girl" job (I'm using lots of "quotations" already... uh oh) to running around with babies on my shoulders making funny faces and weird noises acting like a 2 year old again. And I can't seem to let go of the ol' Mangy Moose. Yes, I'm 26 going on 27 and STILL waiting tables in Teton Village two nights a week. I have learned more about the human race waiting tables than I have in any other life experience. I think everyone should wait tables at least once in their lifetime.

I have been blessed with an incredible life. Hence the name of this blog... "Is this really my life?" I have to thank my parents for loving and supporting the heck out of me which gave me the courage to be independent, happy, and spontaneous, yet extremely headstrong and hardworking. One day I hope to be 1/2 the parent that they have been to me:)

So there we have it! My first blog. I hope everyone has a wonderful friday!!!
